SSMHA and the City of Olympia require all participating vessels to carry liability insurance to take passengers on board either at the docks or on the water. Vessels without these insurance requirements are still invited to attend the festival and skippers/crew are welcome to share with the public but cannot invite the public to board the vessel. By submitting this form, I understand I am fully licensed, insured, and liable for my vessel and my crew for participation in the Olympia Harbor Days Festival Show and Races and hold harmless Olympia Harbor Days and the South Sound Maritime Heritage Association and any future sponsor of the tugboat races. As owner/skipper, I hereby agree to assume all risks incident to my participation in the Olympia Harbor Days Festival Tugboat Show and Race and have all the proper safety equipment on board as required by the US Coast Guard. I hereby release myself, my crew, my heirs, executors, and all sponsors including the City of Olympia, the Port of Olympia, The South Sound Maritime Heritage Association and The Event Company LLC, including any and all of their heirs or assigns from all claims, demands, actions, or causes of actions incident to my participation. I am totally responsible for any liability incurred against me or my crew while doing business and/or participating in the event. I also understand that my name, vessel name, homeport and vessel statistics may be printed in promotional materials for the festival.
